Khonshu's Moon Knight copying more and more the character theme of Reincarnating Hawkman (and Barry is like Hath-Set, priest of Anubis). And the mantle is just another avatar of the ages - in a bleech, ugh, bah, boo, argh legacy succession just like when Marvel bumbled and did the same to Ghost Rider and Iron Fist succession too??! (And yet Khonshu wasn't around to join the primordial ? Hmmph!!)

I totally agree with you. It is a bad idea to crib Geoff Johns' version of Hawkman.
Moon Knight is already compared all the time to Batman & the Shadow.
There is no need to add Hawkman to the mess.
Also, in the Marvel Universe, Ra was one of the aspect of the Demogorge.
Obviously, the Sun King is a different character.
I suppose that the Sun King is actually an avatar of Amun of the Theban Triad, Amun meaning the "Hidden One" and this Amun isn't the same character than the Demogorge (who was the Ra of Heliopolis).

It already happened once with Seth. The Seth appearing in 'Moon Knight - Resurrection War' had nothing in common with the Seth appearing in the Thor books. Actually, the Seth appearing in the Moon Knight book was much closer to Egyptian mythology than the Thor character (who looks more like Apophis than Seth).
Either this Seth was a different character, either he was one of the illusions created by Morpheus (Robert Markham).
Actually, the 1998 story implies that a lot of what happens to Marc Spector (even some of the appearances of Khonshu) might actually be the result of Morpheus manipulating his mind & dreams.
In 2017, it might still be true.
It would explain Jeff Lemire's whole run, for example.

gave birth to a girl, several years ago, by Jake unbeknowst to his Marc personality??!

Marlene was in love with Steven Grant but disliked the other aspects of Moon Knight. It would have been more understandable if the Steven Grant aspect, not Lockley, was the father.

Someone's going to have to annotate a revised WHAT WE KNOW of the Moon Knight legacy and Marc/Jake/Steven's timeline, eh?

BTW, we still don't know why the Khonshu aspect is still around, fine & friendly in Moon Knight's mind after the Marc Spector aspect supposedly killed him at the end of Jeff Lemire's run.
