We learn how Molly's parents died (Leslie Dean killed them with a bomb). The gang decides to go to the school dance. Gert and Chase have sex. Karolina kisses Nico (who seemed into it a bit IMO).

Nothing really surprising there. I'd be disappointed in Gert if the end of the world wasn't imminent.

The Pride supposedly thinks they're investing in some sort of renewable or green energy or something (oh come on they're not that stupid). The gang watches the tape Molly's parents made that they made conveniently before they died warning Molly about the dig like the day before it happens but like 10 years after they die...their timing is either really awesome or really shitty.

Yeah, the timing.

Ugh...Frank Dean you're just the worst. Frank betrays the teens to suck up to Jonah. Jonah's speech about do you know where your children to the parents was pretty good. The episode ends with the parents and the Runaways confronting each other.

Other than the kids, who didn't see that coming a mile away...

Out of everyone on the show I feel like the guy who plays Alex really nails his character. He really does seem like Alex from the books. I'm glad everyone shut down his Runaways group name...I don't think they actually ever call themselves that do they?

Nah, but Nico once called them all "runaways" (lowercase) in vol 2.

I sorta liked the idea in honour of the runaways that were killed.

Janet Stein wins most improved character. She was my least favorite out of the 15+ main characters running around in the early episodes but she's gotten some good material these last few episodes. I liked her speech that she could get over losing her husband but losing her son would kill her.

Yeah. Good for her.

Really great episode! Kind of a perfect penultimate ending. I hope the finale comes off well. Now, I'm sorta sad there's only one more episode. I do hope for a S2.
