You're right about the year. I was thinking the epochal Spider-Man issue that depicted someone high on drugs, and which didn't carry the Comics Code Authority symbol, came out in the late 60s, but it didn't. It was issue #96 and it came out in 1971. I was ten and I probably bought that issue off the spinner rack.
