What in the narrative makes their deaths a good and organic choice? I don't see anything in the previous movies that makes their dying a particularly good thing. How good and appropriate their deaths are would be highly dependent on the Endgame movie itself, which none of us have seen. Certainly good death scenes could be pulled off, but these could turn out to be bad death scenes just as easily. In any case, I think killing off all of the original Avengers would be a very bad thing. Regardless of merchandising, it would just leave a bad taste in the audience's mouth going forward. The MCU is not the Game of Thrones universe. Its vibe and dynamic is very different and not one that is enhanced by a semi-permanent mass kill off of the main characters (in contrast to the snap whose characters we all know will be brought back).
