Spring may not have sprung yet but Marvel has SPRUNG a whole bunch of WTH reveals and a WAY contrived quest party on us with this mini. Too unlikely and unevenly, imo. Not that there isn't marginal fun to suspend your disbelief with. And sure a lot of "JOURNEY" but no satisfaction of "MYSTERY" to sell. Where to begin? Where to begin? Read this 2 days ago but to coherently formulate a 'review' with all the gripes and good points seemed too daunting. So, here is just a cathartic dumping of jots that went thru my head as reading...

Well, Spring sprung 3 weeks ago. It started on March 20.

···nice cover collage - tells the players
···weird to process RECAP page - how much is spoilers after only WotR#1 is out and how much fairly sets up the WotR crisis -started DAYS AGO- with Balder now thrust as a main player
···do RV's need license plates on the front in USA when crossing States? How did the team get an RV? Is "WM" stand for Wonder Man's RV?

It varies by state. You always follow the rules of your home state.

···THOR HAS A BABY SISTER (Laussa)?!

Yes. She was introduced almost 5 years ago.

···THOR HAS A (humungous) CASTLE in Broxton (still)?

Yes. Bilskirnir. Also established 5 years ago. IIRC, he gave it to the people of Broxton.

···Deathlocket in New Mexico?? She's graduating what? She has access to so many LMDs? She has no friends to invite to her party? She's 'plugged in' to the Globabl Crisis and yet throws herself a bash? Cheap misdirection w/cameo of Handbook heroes at party. Is her dad real? Is he African-American?

Pretty sure these familial titles are sarcasm. Dum-Dum is not her uncle. Tasha is not her aunt. Her "dad" is probably just some SHIELD(?) stooge handler. Could even be that's supposed to be Nick Fury Jr.

···ATM, Wondy is still a pacifist. How long will THAT last in a War? Fun line: "PITCH ME!" Good idea to get him to fight the bridge instead.

Not just pacifist, but he's somehow gotten a body that looks more like Peter Parker. He needs to hit the gym.

···AHA! Just a repurposed Helltransport if it can't make it over that small gap... OH SNAP! Maybe it doesn't carry fire-beings... maybe it's only... ARES?! What was HIS last status/story told? So much for non-interferrence in WotR from other Pantheons? It's actually a good jarring cliffhanger to take readers mind off everything that has to be processed (and justified) here and factored in before reading WotR#2 and WotR-JIM#2

Ares was last seen at the end of Contest of Champions, hanging out in Britain with the survivors of that.
