These were the cover teasers from 2019 last year. WEHT 2099. Can anyone recap the current status quo and how far these titles have gotten? Did Conan just live on from being trapped in the present 616? Who are the newer legacy heroes on the cover do you find refreshing? Are most of them the OG 2099 characters from back when 2099 first launced or did Secret Wars or latest storyline in ASM mess all that?

Support Cancer Research and Alzheimer Research and COVID Research.

It was just a bunch of one-shots, bookended by an Alpha and Omega. Meanwhile, Amaz Spider-Man issues meandered through it.

There was:
1. A really silly, almost Joker-looking Kingpin with purple hair.
2. A female Venom, the daughter of an Alchemax scientist.
3. A Ghost Rider with a chainsaw hand.
4. An armoured Punisher.
5. An FF kid group that died very quickly. The only one-shot with a definitive ending.
5. That Knull guy, god of the symbiotes.

Can't think of any other new people.

Doom trashed all of the heroes of the Heroic Age, but allowed Conan to have land in Mexico. Later, Morgan le Fay wanted to enter Conan's land, but he denied her entry and killed her. With her dying breath, she cursed him to live until the sun "burns the earth under his feet." Sooo... the year 2099 comes...

In 2099, Conan discovers a way to break the curse. Using a Nova helmet, he gets really close to the sun and stands on some dirt. Dirt burns away, thus breaking the curse. The helmet keeps him alive, and he flies back to Earth to live and die normally.

I'm not sure the event was good for anything other than Spidey/Venom stories.

City of Heroes is BACK!
