On Spider-Man, J.M. DeMatteis and Gerry Conway did some good stuff.

These guys were still around in the 90s? Wow! I had no idea! For some reason I wasn't reading Spider-Man in the 90s with any regularity. I don't remember why, but I know it WASN'T because of the Clone Saga. I didn't read that. I only know about it from reading people's comments about it for all these years.

Conway was on Spectacular Spider-Man and Web Of Spider-Man from 1988-90, and 91. He created Tombstone. Most of DeMatteis work was in the 90's. After his great Spectacular Spider-Man run, he worked on Amazing Spider-Man in the Clone Saga, and then had another stint on Spectacular.
