    Yeah, I saw it. It was terrible. Gary Oldman as dracula was the only good thing about the movie(and maybe the visual effects).

How about the music? Far and away my favorite part.

    The acting was generally awful. They cast the film based on popular trends at the time, which meant Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder were in it, even though both were simply dreadful at speaking in British accents.

Keanu Reeves was an odd casting choice for sure. Even odder was when he was cast as Constantine.

    They also changed the plot to include a terribly cliched reincarnation story line. Meant to make Dracula into a romantic hero. That was a major deviation from the book.

I thought it was bizarre to make a movie with the author's name in the title and then deviate from what the author wrote.

    If you haven't read the book, it's well worth it. Do that instead of wasting two minutes of your time on that movie.

I've read it but all of a sudden I have this urge to listen to it as an audiobook. The personal correspondence format must surely be ideal for audiobooks.
