Quote:Hey there, Priests and Nuns! We've got another Music Fun to get through today! Let's get right to it!
Quote:DING! DING! DING! DING!

Quote:Yeah, I loved The Beverly Rockabillies! Granny would put moonshine in Jethro's lunch all'a time. Here's your electronic dedication!
LOL I can tell you're feeling better!
Thanks for playing this. Neil looks so messed up in this video. LOL. Great, fun song.
Quote:Now, let's git goin' on the countdown!
Suddenly, I'm a freshman again. Synchronicity was such a huge album in 1983. Personally, I don't think that it's aged all that well, but that could be due to overplay on my part back in the day. This song is an undeniable classic, and I remember it being my favorite from the album.
I remember hearing this one back then. Good song. Dave Edmunds was grouped in with new wave artists Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, and Marshall Crenshaw in the early 80's. I think I remember Captain America's girlfriend Bernie Rosenthal being a fan. We'll have to recommend "Crawling From The Wreckage" to PPP for his 70's Music Fun.
Don't Forget Me When I'm Gone
I remember this song quite well, but I don't recall the name Glass Tiger at all. It's still pretty good 80's pop. Better than I remembered. Great vocals.
Eye Of The Tiger
I pity the fool that don't remember this song. This is a true classic, though it gets goofed on a bit lately. 45 million views on youtube, though. You can't deny it's inpact on 1982 pop culture.
And Rocky III was great. Hulk Hogan as Thunderlips, Mr. T as Clubber Lang, and Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa. One of the biggest movies and biggest songs of the early 80's.
Quote:Weird Al Yankovic
The Rye Or The Kaiser
And you know it's a big hit if Weird Al parodies it. This one is pretty funny. Al really is good at writing lyric. They really flow, and I still snicker at "goes out back and beats up on the liverwurst."
Twistin' The Night Away
This is a great song, and Stewart does a good job with it. He is a singer I've gotten sick of though.
Quote:Well, that's it for another week! Keep those cards, letters, and requests comin' in, and keep yer hands on the ground and your feet kickin' at the stars!
Although this song is a bit bleaker than what's usually played on 80's Music Fun, I think Dirty Blvd by Lou Reed is a great 80's song. Any chance of playing it on the video jukebox?
