I was a Gruenwald fan. My favorite stories all had Diamondback in them.

I liked Gruenwald's long run, too. I think Cap and Diamondback might be my favorite Marvel superhero couple.
Anything with Crossbones was usually pretty good, too.
I liked Scourge and Flag-Smasher.
The John Walker storyline was good/boarderline great.
I really enjoyed CA 355-356, when Sersi turned Cap into a boy so he could infiltrate Mother Night's camp.
I recently read Fighting Chance Pt 1(CA 425) and it seemed like a great intro to a story. I hope the next 11 chapters live up to this opening issue.

The Roger Stern/John Byrne stuff was fantastic, though too short. Machinesmith and Dragon Man, Mr. Hyde and Batroc, and especially Baron Blood!

I loved the DeMatteis/Zeck run, with Vermin, Baron Zemo, Scarecrow, and Deathlok. The title dropped a bit when Neary took over pencils, but was still really good with the build up to the Red Skull story in CA 300.
