You Dirty Rat
Thanks for playing, PPP. Was Letters To Cleo not as big as I thought? I mean, I know they weren't big, but they did get a lot of radio play with hits like Here And Now and Awake. At least, in Boston. I remember seeing them on Saturday Night Live.
Anyway, this song is very cool. Originally done by small time band Scruffy The Cat, Letters To Cleo did a nice cover which sounds almost the same except for female voacals instead of male. Charlie Chesterman, the lead singer for Scruffy, sings backup vocals in the Cleo version.
Pretty Fly for a White Guy
I'd forgotten how funny this video is. Like Whispering Hands said, this song was all of a sudden all over the place. Good album, too. I haven't listened to it in years.
My Iron Lung
I liked this. The problem with most Radiohead songs is, after I hear them, I can never remember their names, aside from Creep. I don't think I'd heard this before.
This was really rocking. I was a bit surrised. Great choice.
Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)
This was an instant classic when it came out. Great song. It was one of my daughters favorites before she discovered Justin Bieber. My wife would put Nimrod in the CD player to play it for her and then, when other songs would come on, I'd have to hurry and stop it. Inappropriate!
If You Could Only See
This one's OK. Not a favorite, but listenable.
I Will Remember You
Talk about heartfelt vocals! Good song.
Only Happy When it Rains
This song is fantastic! Garbage was great for a while. It's a real rocker with that 90's attitude. I never realized it was a parody of that "whatever" attitude until I read wiki.
It was played in "Terms Of Endearment", a very good episode of the X-Files.
I like this song ok, but never felt too much for Candlebox. I remember getting sick if it back when it was on all the time.
