Quote: I chose this episode of the Hulk because I still have the comic, Hulk Vesus Quasimodo is my collection downstairs. I pulled it out and followed along as I watched. Some of the dialogue was taken straight from the cartoon, and the plots were basically the same. The cartoon was based on Sal Buscema's character designs from around that era. The Hulk looked especially mean due to this. I remember watching this as a kid, though I wasn't as much a fan of it as of Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends. The Hulk cartoon took a more serious tone than the Spidey one. Stan Lee's narration was fun. I'd say that this episode turned out to be a bit better than I remembered. In the comic - - Was Quasimodo able to fight the Hulk to a standstill? - Was Salvatore in the story? - Did the Hulk fall asleep every time he did something strenuous? - Did the Hulk have difficulty pulling an iron grating out of the wall? - Did the Hulk realize he needed to fix the damage he'd done or the people would die? - Would the formula that helped Quasimodo possibly have helped Bruce Banner? I just happen to like Salvatore, which is why I asked about him. But my other questions are all referring to plot points in the cartoon that I found dubious. One thing I liked a lot about the cartoon was Betty's professional status. She seems highly respected. This growth in the character, from where she was in the 60s and 70s, is most welcome. Was that in the comic too? | |||||||
