It's been a year! Wow!
Yes, if you check the date on today's offering, you'll see it's December 31. We started with January 1.
Has anything about the strip stuck out for you over these past twelve months? For me, it's been how often I could see my own cat in Garfield's behavior. Not the beating up Odie stuff, nor the eating everything in sight stuff, but a lot of the rest has been spot on, for example the sleeping all the time.
Actually, come to think of it, even the beating up Odie stuff isn't that far off. For a week or so, we had a small dog living with us, and my cat, while she kept her distance, nevertheless defended the room she considered her territory, and the dog shied away.
Were there any highlights for you?

I like Garfield's dry wit in these older strips. When I occasionally read the current strip it seems a lot more slapstick. Or you see the cartoon on TV and he's getting into some zany adventure. In the old strip Garfield didn't walk around and do stuff. He just sat there like a lump making sarcastic observations. I think I liked that better. That said, Garfield comes across as a bit of a jerk sometimes.
