With so many superhero movies today, it's almost hard to remember the days when there were only a handful of hero movies being made.
In the 80s and 90s I'd read comics and dream of seeing my favorite heroes on the big screen. Though with the way some of them ended up in those days (Punisher, Captain America)sometimes I hoped they'd never get around to it.
What movies do you remember fantasizing about? What actors were playing the parts?

I thought you meant movies that were planned but never got produced. Like James Cameron's Spider-Man. It was in production from Cannon Films. They got as far as building a bunch of the sets when they lost the license to the character. They recycled those sets, along with unused sets from the unproduced "Masters of the Universe II" into what became the Jean-Claude Van Damme vehicle "Cyborg." I've even seen "Cyborg" listed in the TV Guide as "Masters of the Universe II." Supposedly when they were going to make "Spider-Man" they were going to have Michael Biehn star as Peter Parker. I like Cameron and Biehn but I don't see him as Peter Parker.
