What things from the 80s and 90s did you "miss the boat" on?
For instance my wife couldn't believe with how nerdy I am that I'd never seen Tron. to her it was as big a part of her childhood as Star Wars or Indiana Jones.
So I watched it and it was all right, but it just didn't do anything for me.
I felt like because I didn't see it when I was younger, that it could never have the same magic as it can for people who grew up with it and watched it over and over on VHS. Or show it in theaters multiple times.
What movie, TV show, comicbook, album, or anything else from the 80s and 90s do you feel like you missed the boat on?

Good question. I'm not sure of the answer. Most of the '80s stuff I didn't experience at the time and I found in the last decade, I really liked it. I didn't feel like I couldn't recapture the magic because it was still there.
I mostly missed out on '80s pop. It was sometime post 2000 when I started listening to Michael Jackson and hair metal bands and just mainstream pop and rock from the '80s. I did feel bad I didn't discover them in their own day but I discovered them now and liked 'em just fine.
My wife however never saw The Princess Bride which is one of my favorite movies. When I finally showed it to her a couple of years ago she got a chuckle or two but didn't see why it was an all-time great movie. Maybe she had to be there at the time.
