I mostly missed out on '80s pop. It was sometime post 2000 when I started listening to Michael Jackson and hair metal bands and just mainstream pop and rock from the '80s. I did feel bad I didn't discover them in their own day but I discovered them now and liked 'em just fine.

I definitely missed the boat on 80s rock. But twenty years later I found an appreciation for it. Seeing Poison in concert helped. Bon Jovi being well known as a New Jersey band and thus an icon of my home state also helped.

My wife however never saw The Princess Bride which is one of my favorite movies.

I never saw it and still haven't. My daughter can't believe I never saw it.

You should see it, if for no other reason then to see if you "missed the boat." I love the movie and watched it many times on VHS.
