The Basic Instinct banner inspired me to ask about Racy entertainment this week.

What racy movies, TV shows, comics, whatever from the 80s and 90s do you remember fondly.

Did you watch Silk Stockings?

Did you watch "Species" over and over again? Or Maybe you preferred "Body Heat"

I know I've never forgotten Bo Derek in "10" or Phoebe Cates from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High."

Or maybe you're more of a romantic. \:\)

Just remember that we have to keep this family friendly so no gory details.

I never saw most of the movies you guys are talking about. Species was a good/bad deal. Good SciFi premise that turns into an exploitation film. Or maybe it's just exploitation through and through with some SciFi as window dressing. I kind of liked Species II better because it didn't pretend to be anything but junk. Lots more gore, lots more nudity, lots of decent actors who were just there for the paycheck.

An early influence was Heavy Metal. Yes it's juvenile teen boy fantasy stuff but that's what I liked. I still kind if like it. Great soundtrack. I must have been 10 when I saw this thing.

I personally think in lieu of "the talk" my Dad just rented us the Porky's movies. Not seductive or erotic just potty humor and T&A. Which is perfectly fine entertainment when you're 12 or whatever.

I remember my parents having a disagreement about one of the Police Academy movies, 1 or 2. Mom was against us seeing it because it was PG-13 and we were only 11 or 12. He thought "it'll be good for them." Dirty jokes and a few boobs.

I never learned a cable box trick. But we never had cable until I was in college. Before that it was just the three channels we got over the air.
