I bought the He-Man Masters of the Universe Minicomic Collection (hardcover and 1,232 pages) for $20!

I never bought the toy and never watched the cartoon, but the idea of owning a complete set of the minicomics sold with the toy just seemed so cool to me, and at such a low price, that I had to have it!

Neat! I got He-Man toys and watched the cartoon as a little kid, but I've never read the minicomics. I don't even remember them coming with the toys. Of course I probably didn't care at that age and brought just tossed them aside with the packaging.

How about you? Buy anything cool lately - relevant to our era?

I pre-ordered X-Men: Gambit: The Complete Collection Vol. 1, which collects the first awesome 11 issues of Gambit's first ongoing comic(plus an annual and some other material) written by Fabian Nicieza, and largely illustrated by Steve Skroce(one of my favorite comic artists). I can't wait to get it and not have pull out my individual comics to read the run. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Oh no kidding! I still have the original series myself but I had no idea they were collecting it although I will say it is about time. I know Gambit can be a love him or hate him kind of character but Marvel hasn't really collected enough of his stuff over the years I think. That series was definitely his best one and Skroce's art was a highlight for sure. It kind of lost me more towards the end, but I also was starting to briefly get out of comics at the time.
