Quote:The Wraiths unleash some type of Super Wraith called The Absence.
Quote:Basically it is an intangible Wraith that cannot be externally harmed, however ROM divines its weakness and before it can kill Orphion, ROM sticks his neutalizer INSIDE the wraith and blasts it.
This made no sense to me. If X passes all the way through Y then X is passing through the inside of Y.
Quote:The other spaceknight had her power drained by the Wraith's attack, ROM tries to recharge her and pleads with Orphion who tells ROM he should have been a lawyer. As both are power depleted they combine their energies to revive her.
This made no sense to me. Orphion's whole deal is to put the mission above individuals. Then all of a sudden he relents.
Quote:She is ungrateful and feels they should have destroyed the Earth. Orphion however is now in a more of a listening mood to here about Earth.
This made no sense to me. What could Earthlings possibly be bringing to the table that other races didn't? We already know the Wraiths have utterly infested our key institutions.
Quote:Apparently the Wraiths plan to make Earth into their new Homeworld.
Presumably because we're so easy to infest.
Quote:At the end the Absence is still alive and says that soon The PRESENCE shall arrive.
I admit this Absence/Presence dichotomy is interesting to me.
Quote:Note: The Wraith's ultimate plan in the Marvel series was to make Earth into Wraithworld by merging Wraithworld with Earth.
Because we're so awesome.
I liked the art in this issue but not the plotting/scripting as it made no sense.
Here's a question: Who are more evil, the Wraiths or the Space Knights? The Wraiths are taking over our civilization. The Space Knights (other than ROM) want to annihilate our planet.
