I understand that Luke Cage's title becomes Power Man and Iron Fist with #50. Was Cage's title good before that? Or Fist's previous solo series?

Luke Cage before Power Man and Iron Fist was great in the way that only a 70's comic can be. It was Marvel's answer to cheesy blaxploitation and was a lot of fun. Some of the issues are out there but usually in a good way. Iron Fist was early Claremont and Byrne. The art is amazing. The stories might be a little overrated but they are solid 70's comics. My favorite appearances by the characters are in Marvel Team-Up, again by Claremont and Byrne. MTU 75(Power Man) is possibly my favorite issue of the series and MTU 63-64(Iron Fist/Daughters Of the Dragon) is also a top story.
