Either in live action or animation - do you think it could work? Or is it too high-concept?

No for live action. But I think an animated series or a series of direct to dvd animated movies might work.

Honestly I wish Marvel and DC (and Darkhorse) would make more animated movies and not live action movies. I love those animated movies and animated tv shows DC always churns out even though I hate their live action movies

Sandman is still my favorite comic story of all time. They are currently adapting another Neil Gaiman work (American Gods) to a very successful TV show. Do you think it would work for Sandman?

I'm loving American Gods so far. It's whimsical and twisted. Usually the way to convince me to watch a show is to tell me it's a little f*cked up. I love shows that are a tad bizarre if the acting is good.
