I saw it and liked it. More importantly this evening, I couldn't resist making a banner out of that image.

I did enjoy it. I think this one of those movies where the comic adaptation came out before the movie, or the first issue at least, so I already knew the first act of the movie but not how it ended.

The idea that video games were training is for real life adventures was definitely appealing to me. All the weird aliens, it was kind of like Star Wars if Luke had been an Earth kid with no knowledge of such things.

It's probably on this top 20 list because it was the first movie, or so we were told, that had all of its space scenes rendered with CGI. Tron had some CGI mixed with hand-drawn animation.

I like Last Starfighter, I got it on Blu-Ray a year or two ago.
