The author of this article clearly thinks so:
The Best Decade Ever? The 90s Obviously

What do you think?

It's like you live through something that seems mediocre but years later things have gotten so much worse that you look back on that mediocrity fondly.

I didn't love the '90s when I was in them, I mean it was the time I was in high school and college so it was a good/bad time of my life. Politics seemed simpler. I don't know about pop culture, there is always some good and some bad. I think there was a lot of junk back then but there still is. There is maybe less quality now or maybe it's just harder to find because there is so much more to sift through.

I guess I'm one of the few who didn't really get Nirvana. I mean they were okay, I liked some of the grunge bands, but they weren't head and shoulders above the rest.

Jurassic Park had great CGI but stuff coming out 10 years later was vastly inferior. It was a new technology picked up by people who didn't understand how to use it.

Some movies like Pulp Fiction, Being John Malkovich and Fight Club at least tried something different. Pulp Fiction especially spawned a horde of imitators.

I suppose it as the last decade when pro wrestling was really good. Or maybe I just grew out of it.

All of the shock events in comics might have jumped the shark for DC and Marvel. DC vs Marvel might have been a signal of the end times. I don't think I've ever liked comics quite as much since then. I mostly read stuff from the '60s-'80s these days.
