The author of this article clearly thinks so:
The Best Decade Ever? The 90s Obviously

What do you think?

Not for me - even though it was the decade of my 20's, which is supposed to be one of the best times of your life.

But the music sucked. Grunge was good, yes, but Pop music was abysmal. The Spice Girls, N'Sync, Backstreet Boys - god it was all so terrible.

The worst decade in comics by far. Onslaught, the Clone Saga, the Crossing (yes, I know the Crossing has its fans but I'm not one of them), Sue's boob-window outfit, shoulder pads and leather jackets, Liefeld... I could go on. There were some highlights though - Knightfall, most of the Vertigo stuff, especially Sandman.

Fashion was just weird. Overalls on women, purple suits, over-sized everything, pastels... they say the 80s was the worst decade for fashion, but the 90s was right there with them.

TV had some incredible shows like Twin Peaks and My So-Called Life. ER was pretty good most of the way through. But there was also the bland and the bad, like Friends, Seinfeld and Mad About You.

Some good movies - Romeo and Juliet, Titanic, Pulp Fiction, Silence of the Lambs, Schindler's List, Fargo, Big Lebowski, LA Confidential.

OK, it was a great decade for movies.

And a lean, silent figure slowly fades into the gathering darkness, aware at last that in this world, with great power there must also come -- great responsibility!
