(Regarding Children of the Corn) I can't believe there are eight movies. I can barely believe there was one. Not my type of film.

It probably would make a decent short if they followed the story. It's not meant to be 90 minutes, like a lot of King stories, like The Mangler or Graveyard Shift.

Consider that - and then think about the fact that they made eight movies. Wow.

Do we get to see the monster? Often I think it's a mistake to show the monster.

You see a mound of dirt travelling along like in Tremors. At the end they set the corn field afire and the resulting fireball has an animated frowny face on it, I guess the death throes of He Who Walks.

The mound of dirt angle is smart. We know the monster is there but we don't see it. Good.

Now that was some good marketing!
