By the way, we had technical difficulties for a few days that were preventing a banner update. Fortunately - whether by supernatural or technological might, I can't say for certain - the archangel Jason has triumphed once again over evil.
As for the play - I saw it on Broadway with my daughters when they were little. There was some sort of problem with the sound system or the building acoustics that made some of the song lyrics unclear to my ears, but the pageantry held us spellbound for most of the performance.
I always felt the play could easily and effectively have been adapted to a Batman by Gaslight story.
Did you see it? Did you see any other musical theater productions that have stayed with you over the decades?

I saw it in 2001 at the Wang Theater in Boston. I had to dig out the playbook to find the date. I didn't recognize any of the names of the players.
I went with my wife-to-be when we were dating and probably wouldn't have gone if not for her. I did really enjoy it though. However, I liked Wait Until Dark better, with Marisa Tomei and Quentin Tarantino. I remember Tarantino was overacting a bit. That was a straight play as opposed to a musical. Google says this was in 1998. I'm sure I have the playbook somewhere.
