I guess I thought they were kind of gimmicky with the flower pot hats (energy domes) and hazmat suits. I remember a lot of synthesizers. Rewatching them now, I'm realizing that Mothersbaugh and Casale are both pretty good singers and they have some pretty good guitar licks in there.

Most of the Youtube comments are to the effect of "why aren't they in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?"


These days, I'm almost thinking it's better to not being in that hall of fame. They're in good company, with MC5, Iron Maiden, JP, Motorhead, Benatar, Cocker, et al.
