By the way, does anyone know if his run on Avengers was any good? I'm not a huge Avengers fan but I did enjoy Stern's work on Spidey a great deal. Are his Avengers stories worth picking up?

Yes, Stern is arguably one of the better Avengers scribes. His run includes one of the best Kang tales, Spider-Man's attempt at joining the Avengers, as well as the Baron Zemo Masters of Evil assault on Avengers mansion. Also heavily featured the Monica Rambeau Captain Marvel who got her start in an ASM Annual.

Also the Avengers Forever story that Kurt Busiek and Roger Stern did together is great.
