I disagree. I've never before found Iron Man this interesting, and push come to shove, I think he's behaved bravely and nobly throughout Civil War.

Bravely yes. Interestingly yes. But nobilty (or wisdom for that matter) isn't something I think of with "the ends justify the means" type characters. Mind you, I'm not saying Tony Stark's wrong about registration, just the way that he heavy-handedly runs roughshod over others takes away from any "noble" image I have of him.

One thing I do like about the latest AMS (and the Civil War aftermath in general) that I didn't like about other instances of a heavy handed Stark is that this time it looks as thought Tony may actually have to pay a price (in trust and friendship if nothing else) for his machinations. After Armor Wars or Galatic Storm, there was some talk, and then everyone just went back to being chummy with Tony like nothing had ever happened. So I agree that this is making Iron Man a more interesting character. I only hope it sticks.
