While it, like anything else, can be explained away after the fact, it wasn't in the issue. It comes down to poor storytelling and a lack of concern for filling in the holes in what is supposed to be an ongoing, episodic story once again. I am so looking forward to JMS being gone and picking and choosing Amazing Spidey stories based on story arcs and writers.
