Never realized how much I missed Harry Osborne.

Loved the heart attack angle with JJJ.

They finally give Aunt May something to do besides being a shoulder to cry on.

Loved the job interview page.

The new women in the book have been given good characterization for this being their first real appearance: Carlie the bookish cop, Lilly the spoiled rich daughter, Mia the wannabe socialite.

I may go back and buy some extra copies just to spite all the nay-sayers that have dropped the book. That's how much I like the new direction.

Carlie is the archetypal "ultra hot nerdy girl who has no idea that she's totally hot". I like her, but I think it might be a little too obvious for her to become Peter's love interest. I bet it'll be something similar to Betty Brant's situation from back in the day (albeit in super-condensed form), where she and Peter might get together for a bit and then she'll become the love interest of another member of the supporting cast.

That's funny.
