Why would he think it would get cancelled if the whole reason they got an Amazing Spider-Man was the popularity of Amazing Fantasy 15? > > I don't know, but it's what Stan keeps saying. Marvel was a pretty small company at the time and up against legacy characters from DC. That and well, most comics didn't go on forever at the time. You make a good point. It might of been more risky back then. He graduated college though in like 181 or something didn't he? I'd say by then they definately knew he was a character that would last. It seems strange they'd want to pull him out of that setting even. I know there's always graduate school but keeping him as an undergrad would've locked him into the 18-22 age. I'm personally glad they didn't but to me that seems like the ideal age they're shooting for. Either teens or early 20s. jwd | |||||||
