Subj: Same here. The only thing that matters is good stories.

I was only 13 when Peter got married in Amazing and loved the books even more than right before he did. They finally were doing something new and that was exciting to me.

I enjoyed Ultimate Spider-Man when it came out even though I'd been marired for several years. I'd probably still read it if I didn't feel the pacing was slow and it had a "write for trade" mentality..

So good stories have nothing to do with how much I can relate to the character at the time.

I'm still single and am not bothered by the idea of Pete being married.

If they really needed to end it, I'd go with just starting the character from squareone rather than rewriting what's already took place.
