Reply Subj: Out of curiosity: you don't like Roger Stern's work on the title?

That was pretty solidly 1980s, Coyote. Personally, I like Stern better than I do Wolfman and Wein, who wrote most of Spidey's 70s adventures. And while he never gave us a story as classic as The Night Gwen Stacy Died, he was more consistent in quality terms than Gerry Conway, who produced some genuine clunkers in his day.

I'll grant that there's the horrid Denny O'Neil run in between Wolfman and Stern. I suppose it's possible you don't dig Stern's work, and I'm curious to hear why that might be.

"A Renoir. I have three, myself. I had four, but ordered one burned...It displeased me." -- Doctor Doom

"It's not, 'Oh, they killed Sue Dibney and I always loved that character,' it's 'Oh, they broke a story engine that could have told a thousand stories in order to publish a single 'important' one.'" -- John Seavey

A couple good years out of 25+ kind of proves my point.:D
