Ben Urich's scent helped him deduce that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. In The Pulse he said he'd noticed that Peter Parker reeked of smoke whenever Spider-Man had rescued people from burning buildings etc. "And you know who also often smells like that? Matt Murdock." (quoted from memory)
