I must be horribly biased. As I read Guggenheim's statement it is clear to me that he is trying to push emotional buttons by introducing off-topic social commentary on a polarized issue. Do you think he expected his quote to just sit there and be merely "bizarre" has Hobby pointed out or "neutral" as you claim? It may or may not be homophobic but I sure wouldn't call it "neutral."
