Yeah, but AFTER Peter was revealed to be the original it was heavily implied that Kaine liberated the “package” (which was you-know-who up until the nonsensical Byrne retcon) from Norman’s cultists so what does that mean for their relationship? Of course, maybe this Kaine DOES hate Peter now because his MC2 counterpart give the baby back to her parents as opposed to keeping her. Maybe raising Peter’s child is his ultimate revenge. I honestly prefer to think that maybe Kaine – in his own twisted way – sees it as his last chance at redemption and thinks he’s keeping her safe from the craziness that is Peter’s life. Granted we’ll probably never know. We certainly won’t until Joe Q goes away.
