The fact that TWO people came to this same weird conclusion bugs the heck out of me (despite the fact that Eddie was there when Norman said it. Eddie's not stupid). It's akin to people not knowing that Clark Kent is Superman because he has glasses on (even when they both returned from long exiles at the same time with brand spank'n new mullets) or Skeletor not knowing that Prince Adam is just He-Man with a shirt and girly pink tights on. Granted, I excepted stuff like that when I was about 5 years old, but nowadays that's just kind of insulting to my intelligence.

Things like that generally don't bother me, because it's an accepted convention of the genre. When Clark Kent wears glasses, no one can tell he's Superman. Fair enough. People believe Peter Parker has an arrangement with Spider-Man. Okay.
But it works better when not dealing with two character who have known that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. I can absolutely see how knowing that these characters have known before can make their conclusion now all the more frustrating.
