I'm fine with symbiote doesn't remember that it was on Peter. But he found Brock because the symbiote sensed a former host who still had a bit of the symbiote in him. When Anti-Venom "cures" Venom, he then turns to Spidey cuz he senses some of the symbiote in Spidey. So if Anti-Venom can notice this and Venom can notice the bit of symbiote in Brock, why didn't Venom notice the symbiote in Peter? It doesn't add up at all.
