If you're missing the high-level intensity that the previous Spider-books are famous for, I HIGHLY recommend looking at the recent issues of Amazing Spider-Girl. Recent issues have really brought up some disturbing/intriguing questions about what will happen next. Also, it's shaping up to be a quite disturbing Green Goblin-related arc.
If you don't believe me, read ASG #19-24 and the upcoming #25. You can also read #19-#24 in one shot in the upcoming ASG Vol. 4 trade.

I'll second that opinion. I've enjoyed Spider-Girl in the past, but DeFalco and company have really stepped up their game in this arc. Particularly if you enjoyed the Clone Saga, you should get on board. It manages to homage the original without being derivitive. To me some of the best things about the Clone Saga were the multiple characters (with different agendas) and the overall level of intrigue. That is very much in evidence in ASG right now.
