> I did pick up Spiderman: House of M back when it came out. Spiderman was all happy with his ideal wife Gwen Stacey and had a family, then he lost it all and was really angry and mad at Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch maybe.
> Was this addressed much in the Spiderman titles? I'm wondering if he had thought bubbles considering the fact that his true heart's desire was apparently not the woman he was with and if he'd settled for her because Gwen died. Did Mary Jane ever find out that she wasn't his first choice in the ideal world?
Seriously speaking, Mary Jane would not have needed "House of M" to know that if Gwen hadn't died Peter would have married her. She was around at the time when Pete and Gwen were courting, remember? (Actually, there were a few stories that touched upon this fact, such as "I Remember Gwen" (by Stan Lee), and IIRC it was also briefly alluded to in "Sins Past", and in the final issue of Spider-Man: Blue we are also shown that MJ is strong enough to handle Peter continuing to be hung up a bit too much on Gwen.

> Do people normally remember to put the hyphen in Spider-man?
Yup, (some) people do.
