It's funny how much I've blocked out the details of these issues. It's like you're reopening old wounds...

That's how it goes with these things. Sometimes you get to rediscover old joys. Other times... not. ;\-\) (Of course, the great thing is that the same stories can do either. Heck, compare your thoughts to Dr.'s.)

I have no problems with the intentions to "fix" Spider-Man, especially getting rid of the marraige.

My main point of contention is disagreeing that he was "broken" in the first place, so it's hard for me to agree with the steps taken to "fix" him. (Which I may have mentioned once or twice... \:\-\) )

As far as execution goes, I think my biggest complaint tends to be the dialogue. There are times when I feel the characters are talking and there are times when I feel the writers are talking through the characters. The latter case can get annoying, especially when I disagree with the writers. Even more so when it doesn't make much sense for their "mouthpieces" to be saying what they're saying.

I feel that the post-OMD era is the strongest the Spider-Man franchise has been on a month-to-month basis since Ditko left (in part because there was always at least one secondary title that was below par, in part because I think it's really good now).

To each their own... Glad someone's happy! \:\-\)
