Quote: Original opinion: His current continuity stuff tended to be mediocre, with the notable exception of Legacy of Evil and the Thunderbolts team-up, but Untold Tales was very good. While the current continuity stuff isn't among my favorites (especially the Corona story), Untold Tales is my favorite Spider-Man series. I think it was the highest quality series that Spider-Man has starred in. (Although I usually cite Sensational volume 1 for that honor, because Untold Tales is it's own animal, being outside of current continuity and whatnot...) There was never a bad issue. It was like getting more of the Lee / Ditko era, which is still my favorite run on the book, and my favorite status quo for the character. Pat Olliffe's art was just beautiful, as well. The flashback issue, the 1996 annual and the Strange Encounters OGN were fantastic, too, in addition to the main series. By the way, no Marvels coverage? | |||||||
