I think that's key. Also, DC character "elements" tend to be characters and set-ups while Marvel character "elements" also include some key stories they were in. So creating a "primer" for a DC character tends to be different than doing one for a Marvel character.

I think the "weight" of the last 20 years is there regardless of cosmic reset buttons. Be vague about the details when MJ returns and you're no worse off then than they'll be now. (Although I've been wrong before and it's all moot anyway. ;\-\) )
