I wouldn't go that far, but I was surprised at how unsuccessful Bill Hader and Seth Meyers were at writing a funny comic. I mean, I'm impressed that they tried to tell an actual Spider-Man story instead of a straight farce, but they don't seem to have any knack for dialogue, which makes the whole book stilted and difficult.
