Yes. Carpenter is currently dead. Or she's Madame Webb. Maybe both. I don't really remember.

Personally, I like Julia Carpenter more, and I find her to be more interesting. What's going on with Spider-Girl? There seem to be quite a few Spider-people out there. Maybe it's time to clean the house.

616 Spider-Girl/Arana appears within this book. Judging by the dialogue, she is probably going to die. I didn't read her original mini series (or if I did, I've long since forgotten them) but she was pretty cool as a Ms. Marvel sidekick when Brian Reed was writing Ms. Marvel where she was helpign hunt down, ironically, Julia Carpenter.

She had a good first issue of a solo Spider-Girl series but then the writer thought she had to have an Uncle Ben moment so he killed off her father, then Rulk shows up and the series went to garbage.

She also had a good story when KElly Sue DeConnick and Warren Ellis were writing Avengers Assemble, also featuring Black Widow, Jessica Drew Spider-Woman, Hulk, and Wolverine.

MC2 Spider-Girl is with 616 Peter's team, and their stuff is happening in the ASM book. I honestly stopped reading MC2 well before Amazing Spider-Girl ended so I have no idea what's been going on with her.

Most of the Spider-people in the book are verses that are not regularly visited, and there are a handful that are created specifically for this event. I'm sure House Cleaning will happen but you know, a universe doesn't really bother anybody if it is left alone.
