There are far worse artists than Greg Land getting work.

To me, I'm much more of a word person than a visual person. Now an amazing visual backed with amazing writing can certainly be great. But a good story, I think, can still come through with sub-par art. It takes a lot of bad art for me to detract from the story. And Greg Land is one of, maybe the only, "artist" that actively makes books unreadable for me. I was still enjoying Bendis' Avengers, for example, even when the art was more than a bit sub-par. Because I was enjoying the story and the characters.

I've dropped Mighty Avengers, Gillen's Iron Man, Gillen's Uncanny X-Men, Ultimate Fantastic Four, and many more due to his work.

That being said, Hopeless is a garbage writer so I hope this book stays on forever if only so Hopeless and Land are contained within this book and won't be ruining anything else.
