Not 1 but 4 GREAT FUN lines that just pumped up the entertaining script in...

Amazing Spider-Man 040

Fun cover that rewardingly turns out to be arguably spot on (AND homage to ASM298)! But even more impressive was the enjoyable art and color, inside!

Chance fighting to surreptitiously lose was a fun twist. Foreigner probably figures Chance bet against himself between panels? So, it's hilarious when Chance is panicky upset that he won the prize webshooter. The fact he was trying to lose also helps explains Spidey getting shot point blank, with a blank and no Spider-sense warning. Then again, he does later ODDLY confess that "It's not about the money", so that may be another twist coming...

Then, JJJ finishing the podcast in those 5 emotion varied panels brought a smile - even if it was just a rehash of the whole plot last ish.

Randy's fear was comical set up to the most, evil woman being in his room.

Hilarious bit when Norah concludes Peter is into roleplay when she finds the mask. Nice nod to BND memorywipe canon that prevents people from connecting Peter being Spidey unless he confesses. Interesting negotiation she has with him offering a job. This gives her good character development facetime. Surprising reveal that she has a connection to Chameleon! Not to mention his curious current motive in and of itself.

Enter: The Clairvoyant! A wonderful organic emergence of the new antagonist. So, maybe something good will thankfully come from that last offputting clairvoyant device arc.

I miss Dad & Dan.

Actually, Norah could easily have connected the dots without Peter revealing his identity...the mindwipe issue was dealt with during Spider-Island almost nine years ago and people can now figure out Peter's identity freely.

The fact she didn't work it out just shows she's not as smart as she thinks she is
