Gil Kane on pencils with John Romita, Sr. on inks... it doesn't get any better than that for Spidey.

Until I was really mature enough to take an objective look at how different artists approached Spidey (and comics in general), I never had an appreciation of Ditko's work. Being an old geezer now, I love it! One of the things in recent years that has made me appreciate it all the more is how it influenced the visuals in the "Doctor Strange" movie.

Growing up, I really liked Ross Andru's work. When I first saw he was the artist on that first "Spider-Man vs. Superman" book, it got me very excited for the story I was about to read

I never cared for Sal Buscema's art. Everyone had pointy eyebrows and a grimace plus he used and reused so much standard positioning of characters that his storytelling was simply flat in my eyes.

I have to add Patrick Brown and J. Scott Campbell on the list as well. This list is not only for Spiderman but Artists in General.
