I would say that out of morbid curiousity I will get around to it, but then I never got around to seeing the Donner Cut. I heard about it and that was enough.
Snyder has made some decent movies in terms of setup, payoff, structure, and to a point character motivations. As bad of a fit as he is for Superman tonally, the real problem with his DC movies is that they just seem like confused messes in terms of character and structure. Odd since he did a relatively good job with the intricate structure of Watchmen. But then he was basing it on someone else's outline not making it up himself.
Didn't he only shoot half or two-thirds of his movie though? Principal photography wasn't even done, was it? Can he reshoot that much for this version?
He said that it will be a totally different movie from what we saw, and the executive at Hbo Max heading up the project was asked if true budget cost 30 million to have it recut, and he said "i wish!"
